My advice is to do one of two things. The first is talk to your dealer and tell them your situation (much better than telling us). Tell them you can't afford the repair and see what they can do to work with you. Maybe they can do the repair and allow you to make payments. The other would be to find someone or small shop who repairs tractors. Hopefully you can find someone who will charge a lower labor rate. You can also take the case to a welder to see if it can be repaired. My neighbor has a Yanmar that broke in half and was welded over 10 years ago and has been abused ever since and is still going strong.
As far as Kubota goes, I really doubt they will do much for you. As others have said, 10 years old is a long time out of warranty. I'm sure, if you still have it, the manual has a lists of do's and don'ts that cover them. Even the NH dealer you talked about was talking about them eating the entire cost, not NH corp.
