I can push the air in a long skinny balloon from one end to the other. The pressure remains the same but one side is limp and the other side expanded.

Wouldn't the air bags work the same?

You are right. I guess I should not have stated it as pressure but as volume.

This was my thought, but I am not a physicist, although I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express a few years back!

I'll make it real simple. Do not tee them together. Your instructions will tell you the same thing. Dont' let 1-2 internet posters convince you to do something that is not safe and in many ways defeats the purpose of having air bags in the first place.

Please explain the safety aspect.Have to say theres no way 1-2 internet posters will influence my choice of install.I just want to do it the safest and correct way.

This is a QUOTE from my INSTALL instructions:Your kit includes separate inflation valves and air lines for each air helper spring. This will allow you to level your vehicle from side to side as well from front to back.If you would rather have a single valve inflation system your dealer can supply the required :Tee: fitting, end quote. How about that?

the safety aspect was already covered, see post #16 and #17. For a simple test put a few PSI in the 2 bags and connect them with tubing. Then step on 1 bag and see what happens. It will compress and the air in that bag and it will be forced through the tube and into the other bag that is not being compressed. Now do the same thing but dont' connect the bags with a hose. Put pressure on one and it will compress slightly but since the air can't get out it will provide resistance which is what you are trying to accomplish.

Follow the instructions that come with the bags. They will tell you to isolate each bag as well.

I have quoted the istructions that came with the firestone bags in the above post.I guess if was such a safety issue why would they instruct a person to get the "TEE" fitting from your dealer?
