Should have posted this Monday. Sorry for the delay. The MSRP on the Colorado starts at $20,100. The Canyon's base MSRP is $20,995. A Colorado Crew Cab 4x4 w Z-71 package includes the Direct Injection V-6 and auto tranny comes in at $34,095 MSRP. The Canyon Crew 4x4 SLT MSRP's at $36,950. Some cool options is the MyLink w the new 4G LTE connectivity w built in wi-fi hot spot, forward collision alert, and Lane departure warning just to name a few. Considering a middle of the road Tacoma (cloth seats, auto, 4x4) is in the 35K range, the pricing is spot on for the competition and your getting a much more up to date pickup.

Thanks Topkicker, any hint on the fuel economy for the V6? Seems the silverado is claiming 22 hwy for a 4x4, need to understand if the parkability tradeoff is gonna be worth it.

I can't throw any #'s out there but will say this. There was a reason for choosing the 3.6L over the base 1/2 ton 4.3L motor... MPG's

Two engine choices for now. 2.5l I-4 w 200HP and 191 ft/lbs of torque is standard. The optional 3.6L V-6 is 305HP and 269 ft/lbs. Max tow rating will be close to 7000 lbs. Units will be reaching some dealers in September.

As much as I am a GM driver . I'm sorta kicking around the idea of the Ram 1/2 ton 4x4 quad cab SLT with the Italian VM diesel.
Diesel and gasoline are within 1-2 cents of each other here so a diesel may break even by the time warrenty runs out.
$5.36 US per US here for 87 gasoline or clear highway diesel.

Wow. 87 octane is $3.25 here today and diesel is $3.99 and $3.89 if you hunt long and hard. That's 20% more fore diesel at the cheapest price.
