You seriously need to contact me if you are considering buying a foton tractor from national machinery trader PM thanks

Hello again, "Mark Tyson".

Hopefully this message reaches you as its been over two months since we first learned of your issues (via your fake ad on Gumtree) and tried to get in contact with you. As I explained in (multiple) previous messages, we don't have a record of you as a customer, nor any record of correspondence. I did ask if you purchased under a company name but... No reply.

It's like you don't actually exist!

If I were a more suspicious person I would suspect that you have a vested interest in rubbishing National Machinery Traders but since we're in the business of just trying to give the best product and service to small and hobby farmers I assume all of our competitors are too and no one would stoop to the depths of creating fake reviews (except for the reviews copy and pasted around with the same text but different names... Strange that...)

You've said "I am going all the way with this!!!!" but how about you go all the way to the phone, or email and actually let us try to help you?

To everyone else on this thread, please don't judge us based on the anonymous ranting of someone who won't even help us help him (if he is even a customer of ours...). We have many happy customers who have had nothing but good experiences with our products and service and we take pride in finding the right solution at the right price for every one of our customers.

Seems strange that many people have asked him to give proof of his problems. If you look over the earlier posts I even asked him for just a date of purchase. But no details/ no proof of purchase / no pictures...nothing...As for him "going all the way with this" if he can't supply proof of purchase what is he going to take all the way???

Too right! He just copy/pastes the same rubbish everywhere - doesn't even join in other conversations just signs up, talks crap and nothing else.

Not suspicious at all ;)

Would you consider calling Ken in the morning and see if we can sort out what went wrong? I'm sure we'd all prefer to figure what went wrong and how to sort it out over playing tit-for-tat over the internet :)

I have "shared my story" on a number of occasions, but all of my post's were removed.
If you have a rubbish tractor and a dud dealer you should be able to share your story to warn others, after all if a forum is scared of being sued by the dealers, then the dealers in question must be doing something wrong!

at least TBN didin't ban your ID, so I think Foton didin't ask TBN to cut your thread.

is this a discrimination to me? when I said I m manufacturer from China, TBN kick me out, so I didn't promote my company information anymore, just enjoy in TBN. But I m strange that TBN didn't kick you out when you said you are dealer.
Hi Rachel, I would like to share the treatment which TBN gave to you.

Yep, you were probably blocked from posting on their page straight away also i guess!!

I learnt my lesson (the hard way) never buy cheap chinee crap, it is just not worth the hassles! you might "save" yourself a few bucks in the beginning but all the stress and hassles when the things break down, makes it not worth it!

I was originally going to buy a 2nd hand Kubota, but though that for one,a 2nd hand is about the same price as a new Chinee tractor, and two, if i buy second hand am i just going to be inheriting someone else's problems, and three if i buy brand new it will be covered by a warranty and if something DOES then i will be able to get it fixed up.....

Boy was i wrong on all counts!!!

That is the trouble with Chinee is they are aimed at "Hobby farmers" that are not going to give them a lot of use, but when you start to use your machine quite often, things break, it breaks down and the retailers don't like that, as they are hoping that you will only use it for a few hours a month, and by the time things start to fall off, break or break down, it will be out of warranty and you will be on your own.

They will often also blame the operator as they claim, that they do not correctly know how to operate the machine.
I had an old case farmall and my wife wouldn't get on it because she was scared of it! said it was too big for her. :)

Makes you wonder why companies like that are still in business?

But i suppose they would either just change names, or set up again somewhere else.

One question,
if there is nothing dodgy about your company, then why do they keep changing your business name? It has changed yet again it is now listed as Tractor world.........and the "Foton" tractors are now only listed as "lovol" tractors.

Tractors are bits of metal arranged in a complex configuration and then taken out to go into combat with mother nature. During the battle (one I suspect that will never be won) some will be killed and a lot injured. Knowing the capability of your machine is paramount... its weaknesses and its strengths. If you think that you will never repair anything on your tractor your "dreamin" unless its parked in the shed for its entire life. Of course we all know that when you start her up testosterone kicks in and you drive a 50HP like a 100HP a 35 like a 80 untill you hear the snap/crunch/bang then its "Oh sh!!t" back to the shed...NOT the tractors fault.

I did a clutch in 800hrs working the FEL but did a lot of hokey pokey work ...it was worth it... replaced with a better type of ceramic clutch plate.
Head Gasket but I did get it HOT 300hrs earlier when grass seed (whisky grass) blocked the radiator and I didnt notice the temp gauge... Not tractors fault

Didnt buy a tractor with a great warranty so that when it broke down someone else would fix it .... bought a tractor that I knew its limits so when "I" went past them charged with testosterone I new I would have to fix it.

Love the battle with mother nature its sorta a love hate thing but sooner or later she is gonna win so we should call a truce now while we still have oxygen.

This sums up my entire life and learning of what tractors can and cannot do! Thank-you @!

A note to those who import and setup a dealership here in OZ.

Seems that some are reading whats being posted up from comments I'm reading here.

If some time was spent on producing some better manuals then I really do feel many customer issues could be sorted before they become an issue. A good start would be what oils go where with some pics. What grade of hydraulic oil should I use??? it goes on.

Then there is stuff like parts availability. I could go on about how hard it has been to get an air filter. Had my local tearing their hair out to try and match one. The replacement one they supplied (complete with outer casing) wont even fit under the bonnet!!!! This is basic stuff!!! Hub seal 5 weeks and some stern words, some of which were across the counter.

Have compiled up a more comprhensive write up, which I have written up elsewhere in the forum.

Didnt expect a MF, JD when I bought my unit, but there are a few basic things it is reasonable to expect from a dealer when one buys a tractor from them.

I am crossing my fingers I dont have another debarkle when I have to replace the clutch on my unit. Not holding my breath tho.

**** shame really, because it really does stop me from recommending them to others. The tractor, for what I paid for it, hasnt done too badly to date. Its the after sales that has killed it for me.

Happy to debate my issues with anybody, in person if required. In fact on the subject of the hub seal, I already have.

I am also looking at tractors around 40 - 59 hp with a 4 in 1 bucket and am interested to know the Foton is a good one - I have read some stuff about agrison that doesn't sound good. Inside knowledge is the only way to go.

Well I can put it this way. I was a one time Agricat/Agrison owner. Took me nearly 2 years of legal action to get my money back. I then bought a Foton and been very happy with it. Which one do you think I would suggest people buy

That's what I have been reading - apart from a couple of posts. - but how do you go for parts and service?

While it is under warranty for parts and labour all I did for the couple of small things that came up was to call my local trusted mechanic to fix it. He billed the dealer and was paid within 7 days. (he wishes all his customers paid that quickly). For parts I would just go back to the dealer, he showed me round his spare parts department when I bought my tractor and it looked pretty extensive.
