For those retired....what do you enjoy most?

Since I have been retired since January...I sometimes sit with the bees in the mornings and watch the day begin...I have totally relaxed. It seems like a dream that I used to have such a different life a few short months ago. No...I don't miss it at all.

Ha! I enjoy watching all busy workers...I drive around and see all the work slaves and smile. That used to be me!

One good thing about retirement is that you get to go to the movies and miss the crowds, take advantage of senior pricing or special day-the-week pricing and get to sit in a theater with no kids. Sometimes on the opening day of blockbuster movies too.

I love not getting into a vehicle and having to go somewhere, to work, an errand, or anywhere. If I need something specific right away parts, etc.) - Amazon prime can handle it. My time is my own and I am enjoying it. I've seen my wife for more ours in a day than I can remember. She retired as well.

Respect always works. In education, it works there as well, but has been set aside.
Like the clueless bosses, we have the national and state politicians cutting budgets and coming up with ways to "improve" schools- Goals 2000 -Bush sr, All Children left Behind -Bush jr/Kennedy, Common Core -Obama.

These bureaucrats come up with unrealistic plans that are dictated top down.
At the state level it goes the same way.

Yes, and most of the time the government mandates these programs, but places the financial burden of implementation on the state or local school systems .

I enjoy a long, enjoyable breakfast in a small town I live near as I watch the worker bees , especially the school buses indicating school has started , drive by in a scurry .

My good friends and neighbors just retired from federal employment. I can tell you this, with no job at all to got to they accomplish less around the house than they did when they had to go somewhere +- 5 days a week. I always thought I couldn't wait to retire but with them as an example I am thinking some kind of semi retirement might be a better way to go.
