a fine Sunday morning to all. Feel like a new, though a bit "high mileage" person this morning....

David/Sodamo, they got my treadmaster up to the second floor with difficulty...,along with my BowFlex, and recumbent bike. Maybe now in my new chapter of life I'll actually use them. Though having lost 15 pounds in the last six weeks, not sure I need more exercise now. Though walking should be good. I need to pay attention to you guys with more discipline and get back into a routine. While my spare passenger tire is now a spare motorcycle tire, anything that gets weight off my mid section (as YOU all know...) is good. I'm on my last belt loop on a few pants...haven't been there in a while and frankly it's all good.
Every time I buy a 20 or 30 pound bag of sunflower seed, I remind myself that I was carrying several of those around on me and how much better it feels to be lighter. I'll always be 20-30 over the line for my height, but so what; it's the health of the major systems that's more important. Like mental acuity. Gosh, where are my teeth?...
Sunday morning. Need to find another length garden hose to finish the front porch, which washed off quite nicely, leaving a light grey stain to the floor. It needs another before winter; the porch is pretty new, thank goodness.
Considering that I measured the front part at 8 feet 2 inches by 52 feet long, with an L going off another 14 feet down the side of the house. I hope to never have to replace that. I bet the bill for that drove the prior owner's out of here; really became a money pit for an older couple. So now it is my money pit...but I'll have a new kitchen and new bathroom to use and it will feel more personalized to me.
problem with all repainting is knowing what was under there...I hosed off the front door step and the paint just peeled off; someone dumped some latex on oil, or vice versa. The rest is stained, and stain I think is great for a porch.
Most of the house has siding, so I'm dealing with a fair amount of trim only. And a cupola way up on top of the garage that is peeling like crazy and no way I'm going up there. No trips to the ER. No trips to the ER. repeat often.
Just might have to go out and mow some paths to the barn. The area outside the white fencing is pasture/field and will contain the future fruit orchard in one area. But my smaller tractor with smaller bush hog on back gets delivered in a week and I'd rather cut that area with that tractor. Gives the tractor purpose...and exercise which it sure needs as its a/c big sister gets the most seat time. Actually the smaller tractor will have my phd/tree auger on it mostly; it's going to be my Johnny Appleseed machine.
if the Quick Hitch apparatus was really easy, instead of just helpful, I'd probably swap out my weight box for the larger mower on the kubota and mow the whole area in an hour. But I'd rather run the smaller tractor for two hours, get it good and hot and use up some of that aging diesel fuel in it.
need to go out and get something done outside in the morning. Plenty of stuff inside to work on when it gets hotter outside. Currently 75 degrees already going to 90 today, but no rain in the forecast.
