I can't really tell from the pictures but it looks like the main difference is the width, both tire track and cab width. Is there a big height or length difference?
Yes, I think so too. The height is about the same, length is a few inches shorter
Personally, I like the 'look' of the wider track. I have a BX and have to get around in tight spots. For small property and around the house the narrower width has proven valuable. I couldn't get to many spots with a bigger B or L. But I still love the look/style of the Grand L. The meaty rear tracks makes it. I do truly understand why you would want to scale down.
My son likes the meaty tracks too, I never had a problem around the yard getting into or out of tight spots and turning. Yet anyway, I just move things if they get in my way
Dont do it. The kubota is a piece of art.
Thank you chopped:thumbsup:
Surely the Deere will be also in due time.
Decisions decisions, Fred
Thanks Fred:thumbsup:
After a point, every artist needs to start anew, with a blank canvas ... I'm sure WaxMan's Green Series will be every bit as inspired as his Orange Opus. I can't wait.
Thanks Baby Grand, It will, but should I:confused3:
Yeah those are two valid points. After listening to the video I can see how I could fall in love with the Auto Throttle Advance or E throttle. The
B3350 seems to have more visibility (more glass) making it less pretty but more functional? But it also may be just the camera shot. :confused3:
Yeah that Auto Advance would be very hard to loose.
It's not just that picture. Thats how it looks, here is a
B2650 next to mine with the smaller tires.
Just because the cab glass is extra wide, does not mean you see more, you just see more inside before you see outside. But the outside view is the same.
When I dug up this picture up to show you, this thought came to mind. What do you think?
Mine looks pretty good in this picture with the smaller tires, maybe I should trade in the BH92 backhoe with the thumb for the smaller B77 hoe and get the smaller tires back. hmm?
Don't need the larger hoe much, but I would hate to have nothing. The smaller hoe would be easier to store and move around and still be useful for some digging.
Major step back getting the Deere. But hey it's your money. With your perfection personality you won't like the Deere build quality.
Thanks, and thanks for the warning, I notice a few things on the build quality then I figured its a smaller tractor than mine and just not as heavy duty. I wonder Why they do things like they do . Maybe its because they sell so many different machines and don't really care about the small machines.
I always had an attraction for the style of their 3 series cabs, though so many things I don't like, Like the round work lights, but I can buy it without the lights and put my own on. I can fix some of what I don't like and live with the others. I think.
For purely selfish purposes, I'm voting you go with the Deere. I'm guessing you'll be mentally doing mods on it long before it's delivered. I follow your posts with great interest, and admire your talent and craftsmanship, so having a fresh canvas to work on would be welcome......at least from a bystanders perspective.
You've given me some great ideas, and I plan to try to replicate several (gauge cluster and camera mount) when I'm finally home for good and have the time. I won't be posting pics of my version of your mods because I know they won't be of the same quality as yours, but hopefully they'll still get the job done.
Thank you blackdog2086 You have the big brother to the 3 series I figure yours is about the size of my Grand L40 is. Is it a cab also? Thanks for your post and your ideas when you get home. All the way from the front lines, Stay safe Sir
What may kill you is that you can't offer the same financing as Kubota. 0% is hard to beat while trying to find financing for a used tractor can be difficult. To offset this you need to offer your tractor at a pretty good discount or wait until the right buyer comes along. It doesn't sound like you are in a hurry so if you do decide to sell with some luck you can find the right buyer.
My thoughts exactly, who's got that kind off money to throw down. If I was buying the same brand I would trade it in. But I'm not going to give it to Deere just so they can make the money off my work and care of the tractor. But I guess it can hurt to ask, but I don't see them or any dealer paying me retail.
Thats kinda what I was thinking also. But I guess everyone has to be happy and know whats best for them.
It's got me second guessing now.
He won't have trouble selling it with all the Tier 4 junk on the horizon.
Post your price Waxman I bet it sells in 3 days.
Fred
Now you're scaring me, in 3 days! I'm still wondering what I should do. Fred, anyone interested can get ahold of me, I don't want to make this a classified ad and get shut down.
This Deere has the Tier 4 junk you speak of. But in all fairness it sounded pretty good test driving, its got a nice throaty diesel sound but quieter, would sound great with a stack. Only thing that was a 3039R with a turbo. I was thinking of the base model 3033R without
But maybe I would go for the factory turbo anyway since it is supposed to be the last tractor I buy.
I do want a smaller tractor, I do like the look and size of the Deere. These just came out, No reviews, probably not even many sales yet as I can tell.
As for all the tractors out there right now, that would be the only tractor I would even consider given mine up for.
Still
I can only imagine the warm feeling coming over me.

If I realize I sold a perfect tractor with more options then a decked out Cadillac, for a tractor I now have all sorts of problems with.
Then I go on Tractorbynet.com and the new owner starts posting how great my tractor is and how he loves the auto level stop and indicators and the front bucket cam etc, etc.
Meanwhile
I'm back in the garage wondering how the **** did I make this ******* thing work and why doesn't this ******* thing fit. And why is it so damm hot in here.
Kinda acting like this only it's my Christmas this year and I'm talking about my tractor deal.
