Kubota BX2350
Hello all,

I'm here in Florida, the land of the endless summer. I'm a fairly recent transplant from the People's Republic of Massachusetts. I find myself drawn to this forum after the very recent purchase of a Kubota BX2350 with 255 hours on the clock. I fell into an incredibly good deal that I just couldn't walk away from. It came with a Bush Hog EFM 600 finish mower and I just sealed the deal on a used RCK60B23BX that I'll be picking up tomorrow.

Regards,
Betelgeuse (a.k.a. John)

Thanks, I think I'm going to like this little beast. This original owner of this tractor passed away and ownership went to his nephew. He has 100 acres where he raises cattle. He has a bigger Ford tractor he uses for mowing and this machine got most of its helping out his various relatives. He tired of this which is why it was offered for sale.

I worked on freeing up and adjusting the caster wheels on the Bush Hog today. It'd been neglected for a while. Spacers weren't evenly distributed and apparently a few were lost and replaced by a random piece of pipe. This would have been okay, but the pipe was put on the load bearing side. I'll be off to the Bush Hog dealer for some replacements on Monday. Some of the spacers were frozen to the shaft and required penetrating lubricant and persistence. One of them required application of the "blue wrench" (torch).

I picked up the MMM today and it will need some attention as well before I marry it to the tractor. It's missing the belt covers and the discharge chute deflector, but they seem fairly cheap. Once the MMM is in place I'll probably sell the bush hog. Tomorrow's task will focus around fluids and filters and reconnecting the seat safety switch which has been jumpered.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for that; not yet anyway. :)

So do you think $3,000 was a decent price?
