I'm trying to get a small potato garden ready so I can plant asap. Beside dealing with lots of rocks I had to remove a pretty big tree stump at the corner of the proposed garden. The video tells the story.
The BX series gets it done but it takes a bit longer than when using a friends Case 680....
While the seat is comfortable and rugged it's a pain to keep switching back and forth when I have to move the tractor for a better angle.
What rpm were you running the tractor for this job?
I'm guessing but about 2500 or so. BTW the potatoes are doing great along with other veggies. I don't have a lot of stumps like this to remove so I just go at it and enjoy it. Took less than 1/2 an hour to get the stump out.
Hey Bob. Great video buddy. Love watching the BX working. Ya it takes a little longer but it sure can do it. Glad to hear the garden is doing well. Great post. Enjoyed seeing it.
Less than 1/2 hour? Must have benn pretty rotten roots. The last time I took a stump out that size from a freshly cut tree, it took me three or four hours with my BX 25. Since then I have bought the ripper tooth, and I'm dying to try it out.
Got a love that BX 25!
Thanks Paul. I just started a new tractor attachment - will let you know when it's finished so you can drop by for a look and a laugh.
