Backhoe BH-77 - removing teeth for finish work?

Hey guys, first time tractor owner here with a Tier 3 L3200 with BH-77.

I've got about 26 hours on it so far and have been using the BH extensively, pulling stumps and ripping out blackberry bushes and removing boulders. Question on the bucket, are you guys removing the teeth with a wrench when you need to do "finish work" with the bucket? Or do you basically need to buy another bucket? I've got the 16 inch bucket with mine.

I think the digging teeth are currently off on my 12" bucket on my BH65.

A most excellent question . . . mostly because I was going to ask that myself (grin). I've got a 10 and 24" bucket and want to use the bigger one, without teeth, to clean out weeds and silt from a rock lined ditch, without screwing up the rock lining. The edge of the bucket is beveled, just like you'd want for a smooth edge bucket - - just not sure how hard and durable that edge might be. I'd guess it's okay to run it without teeth - - my dear old mom did pretty well that way.

You can get a 24 inch cutting blade and bolt it onto the teeth using a couple bolts and a piece of scrap flat iron.... works great and is quick & easy to add/remove.
