I recently scrapped an old bale loader the previous owner left behind and as I was about to load the the main carriage the idea of instead using it to mount a 3pth backblade to popped into my mind. There are no longer any wheels on this frame. I used one axle stub to repair a broken spindle on one of my tractors some time ago. I'm thinking I could just mount a rear axle from a parts van, position the blade halfway between it and the hitch and use the 3pth on whichever of my tractors I'm pulling it with to regulate the blade's bite.
My question is: is there something I'm overlooking that will prevent this from working as I hope? Sorry, I don't have pictures to to demonstrate what I'm talking about. This chromebook is fussy about allowing the photos I wanted to upload to it. Too proprietary if you ask me!!
