Hi... I want to clean or replace the hydrolic oil filter, It has a big cap you unscrew similar to a cars oil filter, My question is will alot of oil come out when draining?

Plus it runs right beside the starter motor, The starters Bendick sticks in the winter and I want to oil it.

What year is you tractor? I ask because I own a 2007 model and the filter is inside the oil reservoir under the seat. The hydraulic pump is in front of the starter under the exhaust pipe. Seems a lot different than mine?

I think mines a 2008or 2009, hydraulic pump is infront of my starter, The pump has a pipe going downwards connected to a hydraulic filter , its right beside my starter, then the pipe goes to the back of the tractor
,
to get to my starter i have to disconnect filter unit, I wounder if alot of oil will come out

It is possible that it may siphon/drain all the oil out of the sump. But there is not all that much oil in the system. Put a clean 5 gallon bucket under the filter and just let it drain, then dump the oil back into the sump after re-assembly. I do this with coolant all the time. Not a problem if you keep it clean, I sometimes even put some mesh cloth over the bucket that the oil will filter thru, if I think I might knock crap down into the bucket while doing other disassembly work.

As for the starter solenoid, you don't want to oil it so much as you want to disassemble it and remove the "Yak-Fat" that the chinese assembler installed for grease. That stuff acts like wax when really cold. get it cleaned out and replace it with some decent moly grease that will stay flexible when cold...
Good Luck.
