I'd use a molly if it doesn't call one out.

Don"t know what a MOLLY is. No suggestions have worked as yet but will continue to work the issue. Appericate all the suggestions to date and look for additional ideas

I had a similar problem on a Mahindra 2615HST. The diff lock pedal stuck down so it was on all the time. Luckily I wasn't using it on a hard surface or something might have broken inside. Apparently there isn't a lot of clearance where the linkage goes through the differential housing and no grease fitting. Mine took everything I had (PB Blaster, oil, 3-36 lube, diesel, and Kroil) and a pry bar to move the lever up and down. It finally loosened up. Once loose I added more penetrant oil, lube and added a spring to assist the pedal to the up or released position.

The cause of this problem is lack of use. Solution is to lube with penetrating oil (we used wd40) every 6-12 months. If the tractor lives in a shed then 12 months, outside, I recommend every 6 months. Dad had a 135,178 and 240 and this prevented problems.
If the pedal is sticking on, use a pry bar to get the initial movement to allow the penetrating oil to get in and leave overnight, then lube and work at pedal until it is moving freely as George2615 did.
NB If not used as 1 person stated the the pedal will sieze solid and be a mechanic job to fix.

Yes ,just not molly. That would work once the engagement pin has popped out but difficult to accomplish when the pin is pushed in to the housing. I'm trying Kroil at the moment to see if it will free up the pin. Sure is **** turning his guy when diff. lock is engaged. Must have a hundered foot turning radius:laughing:

note that i said that once it was working, if the manual did not call out a grease spec, to use moly. I didn't say to use moly to free it up. in post 9 i said to us ea penetrant spray to free it up!
