I ordered this super strong SSQA hitch from a site advertiser, Skid Steer Solutions: Skid Steer Receiver Hitches

With the ball mount in the top receiver, I can see the ball from the seat in my V417 Versahandler. That makes it very quick and easy to line up the ball as I drive up to the gooseneck.

Raise the boom and drive off with the trailer.

For a bumper pull trailer I use a six inch drop ball mount in the bottom receiver.

Raise the boom, curl down until I can see the ball under the Quick Attach, drive forward lining up the ball with the trailer hitch. Look at the top of the ball just under the hitch, in the last picture, below.

It is a very handy hitch! 👍

You sure have a lot of nice toys. Looks very handy.

If you had a front camera on the boom, you wouldn't even need to tilt the hitch to see where the ball is going:) ... a camera is on my wish list for use positioning my hydraulic auger more accurately.

I have thought about adding a wireless (because the boom extends) camera to the two that I have now.

I didn't look at the monitor when hooking up the bumper pull because I could see the ball looking out the windshield. It would be a slightly lower view from the camera.

One thing you can do with this dual receiver hitch is pull two trailers :D.
P9190053.JPG

Or three trailers :D.

Or four trailers :D.

You've heard "circle the wagons", this is circle the trailers .

Do you have a video clip of driving "forward" (backing trailers up) and keeping those trailers in alignment?

He did say pull not push
Yep, pulling no problem .

Nope, no video, but I did back up the first two to hook on to the last two.

Used the Ranger's front hitch to push the last two next to the fence.

Then backed up and turned sharp close to the first two.

Pushed the first two back to the last two and hooked on.

I didn't price one but I can imagine. I don't have a need for dual receivers so I bought a receiver that slides onto my pallet fork carriage.
I slide the forks off, slide the hitch on and move trailers with the skid steer.

Terry was commenting on the price of the Cushion Coupler gooseneck hitch.

Skid Steer Solutions also makes a single receiver hitch on the strongest backplate that I have ever seen.

The hitch will bolt on the top set of threaded holes also.

I've got an ETerra backhoe attachment for skid steers from Skid Steer Solutions and it seems pretty well built. $295 is a little (OK, a lot) more than I'm willing to pay for a SSQA hitch receiver when the setup I have works just fine for my occasional use. It also gives me an extra use for the fork carriage.
If I had a large lot and had to jockey several trailers around often I would consider the other unit for sure.

I haven't seen one with the gussets at the top.

That is a nice feature and the plate is taller. I have my eyes on this beast if a plate. 1/2" thick

This is what happens to that style when it is overloaded.

The 1/4" top plate bent up and the fork frame fell off.

The one you linked to has a 3/8" top plate, but no gussets.

What are you going to put on it?

Update to this old thread, still using the Dual Receiver Hitch. New link: Eterra Hitch Dual Attachment for Skid Steer Loader | Skid Steer Solutions

Price has gone up but with the gussets, it is still the strongest one that I have seen:

Added to the dolly so it would work without the drop hitch in the bottom receiver:

And with the drop hitch in the bottom receiver:
