I'm currently looking at a 2012 m7040 cab, fel, cast rear wheels, 2 rear remotes, 8 sp. Plastic still on the seat and stickers on the tires for 35000. Just wondering if the new 7060 would be better found it for 41700. Thanks

The 7040 @ $35,000 is a great price assuming 4WD. I would buy that one.

If the 7060 is tier 4 I would look hard at 7040 how many hours on it.

Is the 7060 a 12 speed? If so that's what I would pick. Both hydraulic shuttle? Cast centers?

How many hours and is it a Hyd. Shuttle? I do like that 12speed option but just depends what your going to be doing cause my 8x8 has done everything I have asked of it. Defiantly been a great,tough tractor that gets worked hard daily about 400hrs year.

I have a 2012 M7040 and love the thing, but I have found that only 8 speeds is not enough. The jump between 3rd and 4th is just too much. If I could do it again, I would spend more for a 12 speed. My dad just bought a new M8560 and so far, no issues with the emissions system.

Thanks for all the help the 7040 has 10 hours on it cast centers and hyd shuttle. The tractor will be used 90% of the time to cut bail and brush hog. I guess my biggest hang up would be tier 4 and 12 speed over 8. After checking back with the dealer the 7060 with same options would actually be 43400. Going to look at 7040 on Thursday and if I get it I can put the savings to a brush hog. Thanks again for all the input.
