Take a grease gun when you see it and be sure and see that all zerks on the loader will take grease....mine seem to cake up on occasion and require extra effort to remove pin and clean things out...one particular zerk is almost always caked. This isn't really any particular problem, just a pain to clean out, worth knowing. I would have no worry about the hours.

Have had one problem with mine - 600 hours. Loader control cable from cab to valve broke heck how hood opens - my grill guard was bent back one time so hood wouldn't open. Check bucket mount for twisting - remove and re-attach bucket to make sure it hooks up without problem. Mine has a slight twist due to operator error - forgot to latch the bucket when changing and the bucket or other attachment really gives the quick attach its strength.

Well I ended up buying it the other day, mechanically in great shape, all servicing done with records. It needs a good thorough cleaning and a buff job to get rid of the pinkish fenders hood and roof, but other than that nothing. I'll post more pics once it's all cleaned up. Thanks again for all of the input...I look forward to spending more time on the site :drink:

Looking good.

By the way, is "upstate NY" everything north of Albany? North of Poughkeepsie?

Congratulations, it should clean up quite nicely. Your partner sure looks like he approves.:)

Newbury, I say "upstate" to distinguish between New York City, which most people assume when I say I'm from "New York". I am actually right between Albany and Saratoga Springs.

Oh, yep, that buff job is soooo important...one time only...it leads you all over the vehicle, lets you find all those important grease zerks and filters, controls and knobs...then, forget it...it's a TRACTOR...you should proudly display its small scratches and dings which prove you have been working it and doing good with it. I know you will love it... be sure and know that, unless you put LOTS of weight on the rear, the FEL has the power to lift a rear wheel off the ground...if you chain it to a post/tree and try to pull it, for example...happy tractoring!!
