Diesel Fuel Lubricity And Additives

My life is so full of Subtractives per my bank statement.

I will have to remember this new word!

Going to try to get a lot of the grade work done today (before coming storms and the water rises for winter in the swamp) on the new acre parking at church that my son and I have been working to clear of trees for a couple months. We will add some of the AR6200 to the fuel of the tractor and backhoe. Not sure if we will add any AR9100 to the crankcase until we change oil.

All I can add to the topic is that I have a teir 3 Perkins engin that the pump failed at 215 hours. I suspect my fuel quality was (and still is) not up to spec because of some water issues. In any case the pump showed premature wear so it is covered under warrenty.

I will most likely use the Opti-Lube XPD.

Well we worked until 9 pm and got it roughed it pretty good. We have since got close to 4" of rain so I think the swamp may be the winner on the lower side until next summer but I would be able to get enough parking lot developed in on the dryer creek bank side and hopefully get the 4' diameter sewer in if we get a trackhoe on the place. One day when I was not there someone cut some trees where the 30' sewer needs to go so I can not get the stumps out but could have if the trees were still standing.

I used the cell phone sound meter shortly after adding the AR6200 fuel additive but there was no difference on the 265 MF per the meter but I did not really expect it to be at that point anyway.
