EddieWalker, I received it Wednesday, October 1st, 2014. I have used the air conditioning almost exclusively. We had several days around 90 last week. The air had no problems. In the evening, I end up turning the AC off and just recirculate the cool air. It gets uncomfortably cold in the cab running the AC after dark. Also I only run it on fan I or II, it goes to IV.

Maintenance. No radiator screen. One lifts the hood, removes one quick nut, and loosens two others. Remove four quick nuts and the lower grill wraparound comes off. Then you slide the condenser out (on a track) and clean both sides. It also provides access to the radiator. Very easy to clean by hand. If it was really bad, one could blow it out with air. The hood and grill screens keep most of the chaff out. I have been bushhogging exclusively and have not had to clean it yet, (27'ish hours).

I settled on $37k, $38,7K out the door with taxes (ag exempt).

Nothing interesting other than finishing up on mowing (bush hog). I think I have mowed all that I am going to mow this season. Soon I will get the disc hooked up and start my food plot. I should have already done it.

A few progress pictures (hour meter)

It is now officially legal! She turned 21!

Passed 25

I'll try to get my food plot pics up when I work on that. I did miss some good photo opportunities Friday. I drove about 3 miles to a friends house and unloaded 3 pallets (2000 lb) of deer corn off my trailer. Loaded one pallet into the back of a truck and drove about 3 more miles to unload that pallet. Then traveled about 4-5 miles back home.

Pretty rough ride with the 6' Rhino on the back and only forks on the front. Good ol' Louisiana State Highway 1! Loader had ZERO issues lifting 2000+ lbs at idle. Did get light in the butt even with the Rhino on. Self leveling loader was nice to have keeping the forks level.

That really is a great price for brand new with a loader and all the features you have. The dealer that I bought my Century from in 2002 is now a LS dealer. Nice guy, but kind of slow on getting parts. His son is taking over the business, so maybe I'll go by and have a talk with him.

Thanks

Eddie

Just a heads-up, my dealer told me several times to run the a/c fan wide open to dissipate the heat, otherwise it could cause premature failure. He said turn the fan up and adjust for comfort using the temp dial.

AaronS, that is solid advice and it makes sense. Most blower motors are direct (12V) when on high. The other speeds go through a multi-tap resistor to lower the voltage sent to the motor, hence slower speeds. So on lower speeds it will heat the motor some and the resistor will warm as well!

I will try running it on high and dial in the temp using the temp control. I know on max cool it will fog the windows up!

OK TBN'ers... I'm going to try to get some real P7010C action pictures this weekend. Work has been in the way, but now I have some time to work her good! First stop, 10 gallons of diesel... Then some lifting and discing, I think?

Well fellow TBN'ers... Work and home projects have been in the way of life. BUT! I had an opportunity to put some hours on Big Blue this weekend.

I hooked up my 1966 Massey Ferguson 10 ft disc that I "restored" several years ago. The only things that are original is the framework and the wheel bearings! The disc bearings, cylinder, hoses, tires, blades, ect are all new. Its a fun implement to use.

Anyway, PICTURES!

First I tore up some ground behind the house. This is by the creek that had some nasty washouts from when we dug out dirt for the driveway. Sorry, I have no pictures of this. It was bad enough, if I would have drove into one of the washouts (clay) The 7010 would have flipped over. So I finally chewed this up enough I can comeback and drag it smooth with my leveling blade. This took about 2 hours to get the washouts cut down and sloped.

Then I went to the "Back 40" to prepare for foodplots. I do have pictures of this, so it DID happen!

The P7010C has plenty of power to pull the disc. Even after multiple passes with the dirt chewed 8-10" in places, Big Blue just drug the disc like a rag doll. MFWD is required, unloaded tires, it will spin in 2wd. I was running M1-M3 at about 15K-17K RPM. Sort of wish I had a 14' disc now! Maybe today I will drag it down and wait for rain to seed.

Enjoy!

Well its been a while since I posted last. I only used the P7010C a few times over the winter to blade (dirt and rock, not snow) the drive and move some brush around.

I went to use it to blade a neighbors drive. I went to start it up to chill the cab down and smelled diesel... Hummmm....... Cranked it up and turned on the air. Went to the house to get some water and came back. The smell of diesel was STRONG! I noticed a steady drip. Got a light and found mice had nested on the engine and chewed a few fuel return lines! :censored: :pullinghair: :hissyfit:

The damage caused by our little rodent friends!

Hopefully the parts are inexpensive. Dealer has ordered them and they should be in this week. Along with my 53 hour (Ooops) maintenance filters!

Spring sunshine is here and the LS is ready to work!

Update: Operation Wood Rat

Contacted dealer. Sent him some pictures. The "part" came in, he was as shocked as I was!

This part, the low pressure injector return line was $537!

IMG_2133.jpg

This was the only part of the assembly that was damaged.

IMG_20150402_183951173.jpg

So I put my farming/maintenance technician/electrical engineer knowledge to use! 3/16" Gates fuel line... Should be fine.

IMG_20150410_081634847.jpg

This is what was left of the manifold pressure to injector pump line. Impressive compression fitting.

IMG_20150402_185050570.jpg

This is the replacement for manifold vacuum/pressure line from valve cover to injector pump was about $40 after tax and freight.

IMG_2142.jpg

This is what was left of my coolant overflow line.

IMG_20150402_183438272.jpg

Fixed that with 1/4" vacuum line.

Guys, when you store your equipment for the winter or long periods of time remember there are opportunistic animals that would love to call our equipment home! Other damage that has not caused issues "yet" is some insulation on wiring and the outer rubber on some air conditioning lines. This could have been MUCH worse had I not found activity a month ago. My P7010C has 58 hours and I've owned it 6 month. He!! of a start!

Enjoy!
