I have about 10 hours on my new 2510 and I'm going to grease the FEL. My dealer told me to use a moly type grease. My dealer and tractor are upstate so no kioti dealer close to where I live. I stopped in at a local Case dealer and bought a tube of moly grease to take back up this weekend. My question is has anyone used the amsoil heavy duty off road grease? I'd like to use just one grease for the entire tractor. Any thoughts or am I over thinking things. Looked at the local automotive stores and there seems to be alot to chose from:confused:

Any decent grade of grease will do as long as you use it.. Grease well and often I say!:)

as long as it says "moly" on it , any grease should be fine .... and Moly can be used for basically everything ....

I would use any good NLGI #2 grease. I did a quick google search and found moly grease is good for high pressure applications like pins in a loader. It doesn't do real well in high speed applications, but there isn't anything on a tractor I would consider high speed. You're probably fine with it for all your grease pts.

That's what I do. I usually use Tractor Supply moly these days as I bought a case on sale. Any grease will do however. Tractors don't put a lot of stress on grease bearings like some machinery does so I don't think the super grade stuff is really necessary. Frequent greasing is the key. If I can see the joint I pump until fresh grease is visible. If I cannot see the joint then four or five pumps.

While we are on the topic, Koua turned me on to the lock and lube grease gun tip recently and I must say it is a wonderful device. Well worth the $30: Amazon.com: LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler - Zerk Grease Coupler Fitting Tip - Easy Lock-on, Clip-off - Stays on - Grease goes in, not on the machine - FREE Shipping & 30 day money back trial plus $3 for return shipping.!: Automotive

I also replaced an old grease gun with the Lincoln 1142 and the combination has made greasing a joy. I now have two Lincoln battery powered grease guns collecting dust as well as a few other types.
