Considering buying a new NH T4.105. R1 tire options are: 12.4x24R1W or 14.9x24R1W fronts; 18.4x30R1W or 18.4x34R1W rears. Will be getting an FEL so I would think the wider fronts would be better for loader work. Not sure if the taller rears offer any advantage other than holding more fluid. I appreciate any comments or suggestions.

The tractor you are considering must be 2WD. Otherwise, that wide difference in rear tire size shouldn't be compatible with a 4WD unit. In other words, there must be a match between front/rear tire size and tractor drivetrain gearing.

Yes, wider front tires can provide additional stability with FEL use. Taller rears will, as you indicate, allow for additional weight via filling.

4WD - Looked at a new unit yesterday with the larger tires. The NH web page configurator shows the choices I have listed.
Thanks

It looks like the tractor might go from a lead on the front to a lag with the larger rears. I like about a 3% lead for best performance.

Seems like the taller rears would give you more ground clearance while the shorter rears would give you better stability.

Shorter tires would give you more torque in a particular "gear" or Rpm and a lower speed vs the taller.

I don't know the actual height / circumference of the 14.9 front but I would think it must be taller than the 12.4 front in order to match up with the taller 34" rear. I do like the width of the 14.9 front but it is not available as a combination with the 30" rear. So I am leaning toward the 14.9 / 34 combo. Thanks for all the input guys!
