OK. I'm the one who screwed up and hired the bad asphalt millings jerk. Well, I am very happy to report that after two days of two very nice guys shoveling, raking and tapping with a slate compactor, my driveway now looks like I had imagined it should. I am thrilled what a little hard work and perseverence will accomplish.....Lemonade from lemons. Anyway thanks to all you who responded and gave good advice. Also, if anyone in NE FL area needs the name of someone who will fix you a fantastic millings driveway, e-mail me privately and I will pass on the names. I can also warn you about who not to use.

LOL, I got a few chunks with yellow line paint on them!
In my area our city uses crushed or re ground on all our gravel road hills.
Cheaper than crushed stone and it prevents wash outs from storms.
Everybody likes the results, plus it is EKO friendly.

Thanks for input. We had a hard rain yesterday, and it (the driveway) is doing well. I found some yellow chunks and some reflector lights. Just pulled them out as they didn't go with the "look" I was trying to achieve.

Where is "Timbuktu"?? (Unless you are hiding.) I am fascinated by this internet communication reach. If you own many tractors, you must be a farmer or a very well equipped lay person with an expensive hobby.

I've done MANY of these with the millings (grindings from a roto-mill off the highway.) There is a trick to make it nice. First, have a grader on hand. After tailgate spreading with the dump truck, a grader can smooth it off WAY better than a loader bucket.
Now the big trick to making it work nice. Rent a double drum roller and water the heck out of it as you keep rolling it. If you do this, and I have, it comes out just like a paved asphalt driveway. Water is the trick.

Actually I am a farmer with a day job. Farming nights and weekends. A few hundred acres is not enough to make a complete living these days. I am not a fan of personal information on the Internet. Very glad you got your driveway fixed.
