Comparison Kioti or Mahindra, new holland

I think you will be happy with the McCormic, its basically the same tractor as the DK and you are clearly getting a better price on it.

You have to think about this a little differently now a tractor actually made by the same company with the sme frame and almost all the same niceties sells for 32,900 with a backhoe added and the equivalent with the correct name on it sells for 31,500 with a free loader? Sounds to me your local Kioti dealer is like my first dealer here that quoted me well over $6000 more for the DK40 than anyone else. You would have been giving your trade away for free with him and I feel this was true no matter which Kioti you purchased from him.

Good luck and enjoy your new machine!

I am curious as to what if any differences between them besides the paint. From all the pics online I have found it seems that the seat might be slightly different but other than that I really don't see anything else.

I drove the mccormic yesterday, the dk50se hst 2 weeks ago. All controls seems the same. Couldn't tell a difference.
Here's a question for you guy. I bounce back and forth between ag tires and industrial. I will be on the road' gravel, hard surface 40 percent of use, in swampy places 10 percent , dry grass and pasture, yard type areas some wooded 50 percent.

Sounds like R4's will suit you will then... Just be careful in the swampy places. The industrial lugs fill up quickly and become little more than racing slicks!

If I was going to be doing ANY work in swampy areas, I'd get R1's.

BTW, I've got a DK50SE HST-C. If the McCormick is the same tractor, I predict you will like it.

Choosing the tires can be almost as hard as choosing the right tractor!

If your patient with them the industrial tires wont chew up the yard. Be warned to take it easy on both the turning too sharp , too fast and be easy on the go pedal when changing directions when not in 4 wheel drive. I have chewed the yard up a little bit till I got used to the new machine.
Turf tires are great for lawns but for the aggressive digging and loader work I do the industrial are the best balance for me.
As poopdeck pappy says the industrial will fill with mud quickly and R1's will be best for swampy areas but as with everything else we need to compromise on tire choice. For me I have very little swamp area and usually have the back hoe mounted when I get in the mud anyway, so I find it easy to pull myself out if I do get in too deep. I also have other machines here for the Big OOPS when/if it occurs and I bury it too far in.
Most of the folks around here that have more than just plowing fields go with the industrial tires and the light landscapers who need to be carefull not to damage lawns when working for people all seem to run turf tires.

Still in progress. Ok on the woods bh 80 backhoe. im getting a 24 in bucket. What do you guys know about the thumb attachments for these backhoes. The cost is $750 for the mechanical or $1833 extra for the hydralic. the bh80x woods backhoe is $7500. Also a set of pallet forks is $900. I know im getting a good price on the tractor. And I can add all these in at .9 percent finance for 84 months. Just not sure if the price is right. Also is the convience of the hydralic thumb worth the extra or should I just get a mechanical.

I personally would not install any backhoe that does not come with a sub-frame! Some things are not worth the savings!
