Amen to that, over 18 months for me. I drank enough in the couple years leading up to the last one to last a long, long time.

That is an interesting quote. We sometimes forget that in past times, many people never drank water due to the fact most water was filthy. Many people drank "grog" so that the alcohol content would kill the bacteria in the water.

So how did all the abstainers survive anyway? Or were they closet drinkers?
