MF 135
Hi,

I am a rookie tractor owner - I bought a Massesy Ferguson 135 with a FEL. It has a flow control valve below the gear shift to switch between the operation of the FEL and the 3-pt arms. I am trying to figure out if there is there a way to control a double acting cylinder for my snow thrower chute. The tractor already has two hydraulic hose connections at the 3 pt. There is another 'plumbing' shut-off valve on the hose that goes to the loader that seems to divert flow to the right rear hose. The second rear hose seems to go back to the transmission. When I hook up my cylinder I can only get it to go one way. Can I use the using the pumping and draft controls to operate it or do I need an aux control valve?
I really appreciate all help.

Why not use a diverter valve in the curl circuit.

J.J. I can't really make out the figure (text unreadable) and I don't know what a curl circuit is. I am new to tractors and hydraulics in general. Is there no way to use the existing tractor controls? Thanks.

If you have a loader, you have a lift circuit and a curl circuit.

The curl circuit tilts the bucket up and down.

With a divider circuit, when you shift the hyd to snow blower chute, the bucket is locked in place, and when you return to curl, the snow blower chute is locked in place.

Trip bucket or hydraulic bucket?

The red handle valve would stop fluid flow to the loader so fluid would flow to the rear quick disconnects.

The hose that runs to the rear of the tractor opposite the hose that has the shutoff valve, does it have a some kind of valve in between the tee and the quick disconnect? I have a feeling it doesn't and those hookups supplied hydraulic pressure to an attachment such as a log splitter that had its own lever type valve.

Based on what I see from the pictures, you could install another diverter valve in line. Remove the shutoff valve going to the loader. Run the line from the diverter valve on the top of the transmission to the second diverter valve. One line out of the second diverter valve would go to the loader valve and the other to a new added double acting valve. The return line out of the double acting valve would be the one going to the PTO cover. The two work ports would be hooked to the double acting cylinder for the blower chute.

The only problem with the hook up in my previous post is that you would not be able to use all three functions at this same time without switching one or both diverter valves. One other possibility is to replace the loader valve with a new two or three spool valve. Two spools for the loader if needed and one to the rear remotes for the blower chute. You would run the line from the diverter valve on top of the transmission to the new valve and return to the PTO cover. Work ports to the loader lift, bucket tip,if needed, and rear remotes for the blower chute. You would be able to operate the loader and blower chute at the same time but would still have to shift the diverter valve to operate the three point.
