The West Coast Governors got together a few years ago to discuss strategy... if competing business did this... it would be illegal.
We have no burn days in Thurston County... thing is the power can be out for a week during an ice storm... thankfully, we had a fire place insert and small pedestal stove... the pellet stove was useless because the power was out...
I had thought moving to Washington would be different... in many ways it is very much the same... at least Western WA...
It was not all that long ago when President Jimmy Carter said wood is America's natural and renewable resource and he urged Americans to burn wood to thwart OPEC...
