Favorite Diesel Fuel Additives

I'm not using boidiesel. But I did get the algae germ. So I started using a biocide.

I use Schaeffer fuel additive. I also use their oil and grease. Some of the construction companies around here use nothing but Schaeffer products and they will swear by them

yeah, I use the Schaeffer stuff year round for my commercial needs. Just put in an order for another 55 gal drum of engine oil and two 5 gal cans of winter diesel fuel additive. I have found the Schaeffer does an excellent job, and has just about the lowest cost per gallon of diesel to use it.

It's the eye of newt that does the trick. The rest is just filler.

Anybody know what the U.S. Army adds to diesel if anything? Seems they would have a standard procedure that was reasonably carefully reviewed by appropriate engineers.

I believe all military fuels are formulated different from consumer grades. I know the aviation fuels have a much lower gel point and are less dense.
