Does everlast make an inverter stick welder that I can use with a 220v 30 amp circuit that performs as well as the old Lincoln buzz boxes. I know the new inverter technology is more efficient but I cant say I am able to understand the comparison.

Mark is at SEMA but I know what he is going to say (Cause I had the same question and got the same answer) which is look at the PowerArc 200ST. Honestly, I sold my tombstone for almost the purchase price of this machine. Your Tombstone will never die, and I don't think I can say the same about any modern welder, but this machine, for me, has been really exceptional. Just built a stump grinder with it. Not complicated, but I got great penetration and puddle with half the effort that I had to put in to working my tombstone.

Would the 40amp inrush present any problemm to my 30a circuit? I see it has a max rating of 23.7 amps so it will probably be fine.

Yup. Will work fine. Unless you are using old style fuses. Normal everyday circuit breakers will allow for short bursts of over current. Just like an electric motor will draw more than it's rated current when it is started, but not trip the breaker.

I have the PA200ST and use it on a 210 volt 20 amp circuit. If I turn it up to 140 amps and run two rods back to back, it will trip the 20 amp breaker. On a 30 amp breaker, you should have no trouble at full output. And if your voltage is on the high side (230 or 240), then it will draw less current.

I tried to contact Mark via this website to ask for prices on a TIG welder. I never got any response and ended up buying a Thermal Arc instead. I'm not sorry because it's a marvelous machine!

When I purchased a machine this past summer Mark answered my many questions very timely and checked on shipping for me often since the machine was out of stock, I was very satisfied with his help

Many times throughout life things happen that we just can't explain and the delivery of my Everlast PowerPlasma 50 is one of them. Now, I did post the tracking info above but oddly enough UPS stopped by today and dropped off said PowerPlasma 50....To add an additional layer of confusion, I entered my tracking number on the UPS page and guess what, delivery is still in process...

This now way reflects on poorly Mark or Everlast as my comments are directed solely United Postal Service....
