Maybe it's the "low end" machines. lol. Let's see, Miller 211, Lincoln Invertec V205t Miller Dynasty 200, 250, Thermal Arc Fabricator 211, TA 186, Hypertherm 45....all very well respected machines have rear switches.
I was wondering because most of the "low end" machines found (Lincoln, Longevity, etc.) at Home Depot have switches on the front. As do some of the smaller millers I looked at. It's like starting my tractor with a crank in the front.
So what's your point??
The point is that ergonomically for me at least a switch on the front would be better. I have to position the equipment so I can easily access the front AND back. It's like having to climb down out of the seat and go to the front to crank the tractor. As it is I will probably build a welding cart and put a switch on the front. When I really looked at the low end welders I was surprised that most of them at HD had the switch on the front.
