I'm fixing to put a 3rd function kit on my MX5100 from fit right hydraulics and brian asked me what type of ag fittings i wanted. 2 females? 1 male 1 female? I've never had a grapple and i'm not sure what I need. What do grapples usually come with?

Mine is set-up with one male and one female on the tractor, you would need the same on the grapple. This is so the hoses don't get reversed. If the grapple does not come with connectors I would order two"pair"with your kit.

The best grapple for your tractor comes with 1/2" ag couplers, 1 Male and 1 Female. 410 pounds for a STRONG 66" grapple that will not feel too heavy or affect your tractor's/loader's performance/agility!!
I'm just a little biased, but some others may agree with me. ;)

By the way, the Wicked Grapples are currently in stock and will ship for free to a staffed commercial business or to the Fed-Ex freight terminal in Duncan(closest to Gaffney).

EA makes some good stuff. Here's my MX4700 with their 6' root rake grapple.

To be more specific, our standard coupler size is 1/2", but you can get 3/8" for no extra. Standard is 1 male/1 female, but you can get 2 male or 2 female for no extra.
Some people like flat face couplers, which are commonly found on skid steers. You can order the grapple with FF couplers for $75 extra.

For reference, here is all 3 types:

3/8"(left), 1/2"(center) and flat face(right)

And a more specific reference of each:

I like the flat faced for front attachments. Those are common with Skid steers that also use a lot of front attachments. Not that you can run the high flow stuff, but it gives you a common connector with a lot of other front attachments. Not a huge deal as changing connectors is $50 or so, but that is the way I did mine and it works for me.

Flat face couplers are much more leak resistant when unattached than the standard pin type. They also tend to be easier to couple and uncouple, worth the extra money IMHO.

Within the styles and sizes discussed already it is purely a matter of preference. All will work just fine for a grapple.

I'm annoyed I got ags instead of spending the extra buck or 2 for flat face. My ags drool for a while after you unhook em.
