Hi, have ordered a M126GX with FEL, KSR, 3pt lift assist, instructor seat, lights, Bluetooth radio, etc. I'm wondering if the extended warranty approx $4.5k is worth it. Has anyone had experience with the extended warranty, we are upgrading from a CHI 105U with cab and loader for a variety of reasons.

What all will the extended warranty cover and for how much longer? If if extends the coverage of the emissions equipment it could easily be worth that much more.

personally i would not pay an extra $4500 for added warranty.because if the tractor is right theres no way you should have any major repairs.

What issues did you have with the 105U?

The basic warranty is 3 years which should weed out problems. My M135GX is 2 seasons old and has been at the dealer for 3 weeks now due to a rim failure but until the rim broke it was solid as a rock - 50% primary tillage, 25% heavy PTO work and 25% easy bale moving & misc. the tractor was equipped with a wheel option they don't even list - the dealer threw them in at no cost because I wanted the tractor immediately and it was the only one they had. I was considering the extended warranty myself because of unfamiliarity with its power shift transmission and the problems with our New Holland power shift but so far so good unless it was the power shifts that ripped the rim apart.

first failure was left arm after stacking 50 wrapped bales couldn't lift a cup of coffee, the mechanicle reverserser is stiff and my tennis elbow gets worse with age. i stack my bales on a 35 ft tri axle gooseneck. The 105u won't pickup a partially loaded trailer till the load gets passed the triaxles. the 105u gets light with 21 bales on trailer going up steep driveway. the 105u has a 12x12 tranny but wife can't seem to find correct gear to run the CLAS bailer. She had no problem with the kubota m110gx demo lifting partially loaded goosneck or finding good gear for bailing. Gotta keep the help happy. only failure was altenator
bearing failure covered by warranty 105u only has 1610 hrs
