With hockey being such a physically tough sport and bitter rivalries that include fan brawls...A heartfelt Thank You to each and every Canadian! Words cannot appropriately express a feeling, at times, like this! How many Americans can get past "Oh! Canada!" ? I love to hear it, but honestly do not know the words..ashamed to say. If you have not seen it, it is amazing to hear the whole crowd join in.
Thank you!

November 18, 2014, Toronto Maple Leafs vs Nashville Predators. The mic cut out partway through the us national anthem and the Canadian fans took it from there!

I could not get it to play for some reason, but totally agree that Canadians have class. Top notch people. I just wish I could figure out what State Canadia is in.

We are in a state of confusion.
It is Canada, not Canadia.
If you can't wrap your mind around Canada, then as far as I am concerned, just call me a Canuck.:) I call all Americans 'Yanks/Yankees' no matter whether they are from the south or north.

That is almost as silly as some one from Delaware asking what state Texas is in. Although low in population, Canada is huge in area and scenery. Good people in Canada!!! I loved the 5 years I spent working there, my most enjoyable work experience of the 45 years working all over the World.

Total area of Canada: 2,467 million acres Of this area 2,247 million acres is land and 220 million acres are fresh water.
Canada's population has surpassed 35 million over the past year, a 1.2 per cent increase with growth generally higher in the western provinces, according to Statistics Canada. The information is contained in the agency's population estimates released Thursday morning.
I wish I had a dollar for every person that lives in Canada. $35,000,000.oo is a lot of dollars.

My cousin makes fun of the way i sing Oh Canada, she says i have an accent.
And I have an accent, too. Even fellow Canadians say I have an accent. I was born in Toronto, Ontario (please don't hold that against me as I had no say in the matter), and have lived in Ontario most of my life. Yet to fellow Ontarians I have an accent. Go figure.

Well, ya'll people from that far Nawth speak funny, especially them that are always asking, "Parlay voo Francis?" Who is this Francis guy and why are the always looking for him?

;):laughing::laughing::laughing:

I saw that and thought it was great too, eh. But American fans have done the same, most recently after the shooting at the War Memorial and Parliament hill here in my home town of Ottawa. There's class on both sides of the boarder.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love, in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts, we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

What's the old joke: It was originally suppose to be just CND, but when they asked a Canadian how to spell that he replied: "C-aye, N-aye, D-aye" :)

(alternately spelled: C-eh, N-eh.......)

I spent my childhood going to Boston Bruins games. I have listened to the Canadisn national anthem more times than I can count. And I know it by heart. Many many times I have gone to Canada to watch a game in Montreal as well as Toronto. The fans always sing along with the stadium singer. In the days following the Boston marathon bombings, the Bruins had a game in both Montreal as well as Toronto. The Canadian fans and life long rivals sang both the Canadian and American anthems at full throttle. It was a real class act that would likely not be done in any other sport. Hockey is Canada's game and the level of class the fans displayed just how much they love the sport regardless who is on the ice.

In days gone by, when I had a TV and watched NASCAR I always thought the last line of the American National Anthem was, 'gentlemen start your engines'.!
