Drill Press Table Wanted - Generic

Confirming the stem on your table is 3 ¼ outside diameter and not length? Can it be punched out? Will there be enough material for me to machine it down to 1.9 inches...or insert/weld one that will fit my bracket?

Here is the top, It has been cleaned since this pic was taken.

Can that stem be punched out? I can easily turn a stem to press fit or weld onto the table portion. Where are you located? Seeing what it takes to get that hunk of metal from your part of Seahawks Country to mine.

It doesn't look like a 16" diameter table will fit your drill press looking at your last picture with the tape measure.

It would be easy to make a bushing to fit yours, if the table is big enough for you.

I saw that on eBay too...thanks. May fabricate one at this point. Have access to a lathe and a mill. Problem is welding the stem to the table portion...I'm not a welder and don't have ready access to a welder or a person who can weld for me.

May just use your idea with this one.

Thank you Rich...I decided to buy the one on eBay and fabricate a bushing to fit...will see what I need to do when the part arrives next week. Thanks again for the offer...hopefully I can return the favor in the future.

What raw material would you use if you were to make a bushing. I'm thinking I got only about 0.4" to play with. Think a split tube design? Your thoughts?

Yep I was thinking split tube, since it clamps to keep from rotating. Here is your picture, showing where it will set.

For the bushing I would try PVC tubing first, if it doesn't work, aluminum or brass.
