MX5000 Stalls after warming up

When my tractor warms up it stops running. I have replaced the fuel filter, but the fuel will not completely stop flowing when the turnoff valve is closed. I am going out to bleed the system now. Hopefully this solves the problem.

Does it still stall if u removed fuel cap? I am thinking it might be not letting air into tank. Just a thought.

By chance did you happen to accidentally put gas in with the diesel? That can cause this symptom if a small amount was added. If you did, drain the fuel right away.

I second the gas in the diesel situation.

I poured 5 gals of gas in my L4400 in error one time.

Then added 5 gal of diesel, to make it all better.

The engine would start and run until the two fuels started mixing in the tank, then it would lose RPM's until it stalled.

Solution: drain and refill tank with fresh fuel, dump fuel filter. Once you get it running right, go mark your fuel cans. That is what caused my problem... ;-)

Anytime I've seen gas in a diesel it knocked like crazy, which was the first sign that something wasn't right.

Glad you are up and running. It should not have hurt it this time but would not do that again.
