Excessive play in steering box on my IH B250

Hi all :newhere:

I'm need any advice on how to adjust or fix the play in my steering box..It appears the right side has a heap more play than the left..I can't really see much but was hoping there is a way of taking out the excessive play..The right hand tyre shakes so severely it's going to break something eventually..

Anyone's advice or experience in maintaining these old girls or someone with a service manual out there who can help me out??:anyone:..Any advice would be much appreciated

Ok I come accross this info after a lot of searching and will put up this link for any others who need info on IH B250 B275 or B414 plus others..

I am not at all familiar with IH machines...but I recently noticed some looseness in my steering and I found several loose bolts where the steering arms connect to the steering gear box...FWIW...

I have done more research since this post. There is an adjustment you can make on steering box to take up play. You said its rebuilt? The steering box or ?. You can supposedly get a bushing kit for steering box too. I have too many projects and I recently converted my B250 to an alternator. Hopefully next summer I'll make time to see exactly what is wrong with my steering box.
