Wasn't black Friday, but got a 20v max Dewalt impact driver and compact drill kit with charger and 2 batteries for $140. Pretty happy with them so far.

Kind of a sidetrack here .....

I had a Colt AR-15 years ago. Sold it when the prices started to skyrocket and got a whopping $375 - lol. It was great fun but I was always jealous of the guy with the Ruger mini-14. Sooooooo, after all these years, I picked one up - but it's a mini-30. Love it.

Mini 30 is a great little rifle too

I used to try BF, but I didn't enjoy it- and the savings were the same as always for any sale. I tend to buy tools only as I need them- then I scour every possible source for cheapest and highest quality.
The latest tool is an Arnaud 18" drawknife from Lee ValleyTools in Canada. Arrived in two days. I had a lot of limbs down from the last ice storm and I collected apple and plum limbs to use in making my canes. The drawknife is excellent and easy to use. I treated myself- worth it. Forged Drawknife - Lee Valley Tools

That's a nice tool.

What's the difference between a drawknife with horizontal or vertical handles? Vertical is for more power and heavier cuts, or?
