I didn't see the original thread. This post makes some very, very good points.

When I saw the title of the original thread (The Ugly undeniable Truth) my first thought was that it was going to be a discussion about mirrors...

LOL. I resemble that remark.

Come on... Really!? You're gonna try to 'nitpick' a set of photos so that you might be able to keep your denial 'intact'!! Good luck with that... Should work out real well.

As I have stated - I don't deny the earth can warm. It can also freeze. It has done both numerous times.

I believe we, all of us, are instructed to be good stewards of God's Creation. Therefore, I do not support careless pollution of His Work. It makes no sense whatsoever to trash what was given to us.

That does not mean I jump in line with those wearing ill-fitting panties who whine and cry while citing very questionable science on the environment. There are THOUSANDS of prominent scientists who discount the claims of "man made" climate change. You are free to side with those who disagree. Good for you.
There is unquestionable proof that many involved in the climate agenda have manufactured their evidence, been caught in the process and admitted as much. Why is it necessary for them to lie?

Do we need to pass a ton of laws, create billions of dollars in new taxes and sign over unlimited power to global government in order to see what's in it? That didn't work out so well with healthcare.

It's difficult to accept that our actions have consequences, and that how we live, now, may be creating real problems for future generations. The scientific community has pretty much unanimously stated that human activity is accelerating global warming.
So, we are faced with either accepting that there's a thermostat in the room that we can adjust, or that Providence has ordained that we suffer the heat. Personally, I'm in favor of turning the thermostat down a notch.

Wrong..........far from unanimous, but bullying by left wing and funding concerns silences the doubting science folks.
Also wrong that there is a thermostat we can adjust .........you and I in North America can make didly squat difference , any industry we close down with green pressures is just reopened in China or India , and when they open theirs over there they don't worry about CO2 or pollution..........at least over here those industries mitigate the pollution.
But I do see that gullibility runs rampant in the enviro "blame humans" cause. And you seem to think you have free rein to spend my money on a cause we can have no significant effect on, and your are determined to chase all my grand children's jobs over to China and India and other third world countries

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Did you read the Popular Science article linked in the first thread? Do you have any idea of the scope of funding for anti-warming propaganda? Obviously not.

By your assessment we should just lay down and get run over by whoever needlessly pollutes destroying the Earth for short term results, like a bunch of desperate beggars that can do nothing. Shame on you. Canada sold its green soul for the Alberta tar sands. There really isn't much separating that abomination from China or India.

I am 71 years old so one of those who are supposed to get out of the way and let the youngsters have at it. Well I am real proud of what my generation has done to clean things up!! I was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado and in 1958 my Mom and I spent the summer in the Los Angeles area visiting family and I was amazed that you could look right at the sun in the middle of the afternoon. It was just a huge orange ball up there in the sky.I live in Southern California now and it is incredibly cleaner.Though I personally didn't have much to do with it my generation did a great job of cleaning it up without condemning our predecessors for making a mess.In fact we were always grateful for them giving us the opportunity to create the greatest country in the history of the earth. My wife and I have installed solar power and water heating panels on our home because it just makes sense, not because of any alarmist agenda,in fact if that has to be part of the conversation I would say it is to protect us from the alarmists who have promised to cause utility rates to sky rocket. There is always room for improvement and I see us improving daily but destroying our economy is not going to solve the problem. If you have to save the world go where the problem is. I am not your enemy.

I don't think anybody is denying that the pictures where real or that the earth has warmed. What we are denying is that by increasing our taxes to the government who uses it to support failed green energy programs that donate money keep them in office is going to somehow make the climate on the planet better. Confusing pollution and climate change is just one of the dishonest tactics used by those pushing an agenda to control our lives. I don't know anybody who wants a cleaner environment then those of us on here who own a few acres of land. Accusing those of us who do not want more government regulations to fix a problem that does not exist while they clearly create more pollution then any hundred of us combined is simply absurd.

If the planet is getting too hot, how much cooler should the planet be? If we are at a point that is too warm, when in our past was the perfect temperature? I'd love to go back to that decade and see what made it such a perfect period of time. Obviously nobody can answer this because it doesn't exist. Instead all you can do is predict how bad it's going to be without anything to support those predictions.

All the so called experts are being paid by the government to make these claims. Yet those who listen to those claims make false claims that big oil is the source of money for those denying those claims. Yet the vast majority of those who point out the lies and fabrications used to support man made global warming are University Professors who are not getting any government money, Professors who at one time thought their might have been something to it, but have realized it's all fabricated, and people like the founder of the Weather Channel who have seen the evidence. Where are the oil company experts?
