You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Did you read the Popular Science article linked in the first thread? Do you have any idea of the scope of funding for anti-warming propaganda? Obviously not.

By your assessment we should just lay down and get run over by whoever needlessly pollutes destroying the Earth for short term results, like a bunch of desperate beggars that can do nothing. Shame on you. Canada sold its green soul for the Alberta tar sands. There really isn't much separating that abomination from China or India.

So easy to see your gullibility......CO2 is not pollution !! get it straight......you just exhalled more than your daily allotment by your rant if your worried about it..........and anyone that is educated about Canada knows that these are not "tar sands" , but the actors and muscians like to use that term to keep them in the newspapers.
As for Canada's soul....it is doing quite well thank you, because we recognize that our resources are our economy and right now our leader is smart enough not to allow pressures from the gullible to change the course we are on to keep Canadians being able to live with a resonable safety net of social structures because of the oil industry we need. I also would appreciate it if those that are pointing fingers from the south would realize that their own country is being quite hypocritical considering it coal use and exports and ........(I can't go on because then we get into politics.

I don't think anybody is denying that the pictures where real or that the earth has warmed. What we are denying is that by increasing our taxes to the government who uses it to support failed green energy programs that donate money keep them in office is going to somehow make the climate on the planet better. Confusing pollution and climate change is just one of the dishonest tactics used by those pushing an agenda to control our lives. I don't know anybody who wants a cleaner environment then those of us on here who own a few acres of land. Accusing those of us who do not want more government regulations to fix a problem that does not exist while they clearly create more pollution then any hundred of us combined is simply absurd.

If the planet is getting too hot, how much cooler should the planet be? If we are at a point that is too warm, when in our past was the perfect temperature? I'd love to go back to that decade and see what made it such a perfect period of time. Obviously nobody can answer this because it doesn't exist. Instead all you can do is predict how bad it's going to be without anything to support those predictions.

All the so called experts are being paid by the government to make these claims. Yet those who listen to those claims make false claims that big oil is the source of money for those denying those claims. Yet the vast majority of those who point out the lies and fabrications used to support man made global warming are University Professors who are not getting any government money, Professors who at one time thought their might have been something to it, but have realized it's all fabricated, and people like the founder of the Weather Channel who have seen the evidence. Where are the oil company experts?

Eddie

Since most of the world has woke-up to their lies, the oil people are hiding like a bunch of chickensh*ts behind front organizations. They must be real proud of their work.

I don't know where you get your fantasy news Eddie. I'll post a source.

This thread will be also closed in short order. Too many idiots around that think people are killing the planet and evil corporations are behind it all.

Those same people never seem to remember tons of faked emails and out right lies to prove their views.....we don't even have global warming we now have climate change. Duh the climate is changing always has always will. Do humans have an effect on climate....IMHO in local areas yes they do, world wide nope. One volcano does more to the planets overall "health" then humans have done from the start of time.

It's sad that you actually believe that or think that your comment makes any sense. Here is an experiment I can recommend for you. Seal yourself in a tank of pure CO2. Oh wait, that would be fatal. How about 50% CO2? Or 25% CO2? In fact 5,000 parts per million (0.005%) is the safe working exposure level. 70,000 parts per million (7%) is enough to cause loss of consciousness in 30 minutes. Gee, I guess it really matters how much makes a difference.

You must be ashamed of your tar sands if you think it sounds better to call them oil sands or bitumen. You ought to have the courage of your convictions, be proud of your tar oil.

Tar Sands:
A colloquial term for an oil reserve which are part of a natural mix of sand or clay, water, and a type of oil known as bitumen. The process of extracting oil from tar sands is expensive, but when oil prices rise, they are considered more seriously for large-scale extractions. also called oil sands, non-conventional oil or extra heavy oil.

Yes, I understand your needs super-cede any other considerations. That is the foundation of denial-ism.

As to pointing fingers, let's just say I used to hold Canada in higher esteem.

I honestly DID NOT look around for anything related to this thread. But, there it was... No pictures to claim as faked.. Only NASA and the University of California at Irvine to castigate and revile! Here ya go -- Glaciers in Antarctica are melting three times faster than previously thought - CBS News AKfish
That just means those observing were wrong about what they thought, doesn't mean anything abnormal or man caused is happening. Just means they don't understand the science. If you really investigate the subject you'll discover that atmospheric gases are not the science to study the climate over long periods of time. Sun earth relationships, sun output, and orbital sciences are the controlling factors, not the makeup of the atmosphere. HS

As for me, it's clear that warming exists and believe it to be significantly influenced by the activities of industrialized mankind.
I am in total agreement here, and I think we need to "Tread lightly" and be conscious of our actions. Sure glad we kept the politics out!:cool2: 445A

Dave 1949 obviously your mind is made up you have drank the koolaid and expect everyone else to drink it to.
By the way it is a good thing the trees and plants on the planet do not think CO2 is toxic...or else we would have none of the oxygen they convert CO2 into...............but lump it in with all other pollutions, you might as well add in water vapour too because it is a global warming gas too. ..........so continue to accuse Canada for all the ills of the world if it makes you feel good, fortunately millions of us up here voted a majority Government that has a more common sense approach to the environment instead of the way your Government and Obama has cowtowed to the gullible Holywood stars on their green pulpits and Obama has even given false praise and promises to place like China. I suspect he will go down and history as USA's worst president in that regard

Consider, what time of year were each of the pics taken? Were the early ones taken in winter, early spring, late spring and the later ones taken in mid or late summer? Note all the green in the later pics. All taken in summer. The early ones? We don't know.

Seasons really don't affect the volume of several cubic kilometers of ice over three months

Hey, Wawajake, talk about the pot calling the kettle black! No one's mind is more obviously made up than the guys with their head in the tar-sands. Canadian oil is worse than most oil production. Accused and guilty. That said, it's just supply and demand. If we could stop consuming so much, we'd all be in a better place. Don't worry, the earth will survive all of us idiots who are doing nothing to slow the demise of this beautiful space-ship we're on.

Anyway, sign me up for a glass of kool-aid. It tastes a lot better than drinking that Canadian crude.
