This week I got a deal in the mail from John Deere. They will give me from $9,000 to $17,000 above retail value for my M135GX to trade in on a new 6 series John Deere, and the new tractor will be at zero percent. The amount off depends on the model - $9k for a 6D up to $17k for a 6M. Would be interesting if this is in addition to the best deal I could make with my dealer, but having 2 relatively new Deeres already that I can compare with the Kubota, even that offer doesn't interest me.

I priced a JD 4044R today, about $3500 cheaper than the Kubota L4760. There sure is a lot of plastic on the JD. Anyway while speaking to the dealer he tells me to come by dealership and look at the one he has on his lot. I drive 15 miles and meet with the salesman, no such tractor on his lot 
, he then tells me to go to their other lot on the opposite end of town and they have a 4066R to look at which is the same size machine except for the engine. I drive over there and the parts guy says he will wait on me when finished with his current customer. I wait for him outside near tractor, he finally shows up with no key to unlock the tractor and no offer to go get a key. JD is off my list now
