good morning all. 37 degrees only going up into mid forties, now with showers predicted this afternoon.
I'm off for an eye exam this morning so I can get some new glasses. My favorite pair of really nice prescription sunglasses were brought into them in two pieces. They laughed and suggested I send them back to the manufacturer. But I ran over it with the rear wheel of my tractor and drove it flush into the mud. Oh, don't tell them and just send them back. Well....I'll ponder that. Expensive frames; I am just horrible with glasses, I lose them, drive over them, bend them into pretzels.
Oh Buppies, those high quality Trane units rusted out that fast? Hard to believe, also since I have Trane and always had good luck with them. I went from a 12 to a 15 at my last house with the variable speed Trane and it worked really well. If you run your heat pump year round, i.e. keep the windows closed in the summer for allergies, etc, I think I'd spend the extra money. If you open your windows and run a wood stove in the winter, that sort of thing, maybe take the savings and buy a new tractor implement. Isn't that always the smart thing to do?
Saturday morning, Christmas next week, busy but fun time. Enjoy it. But it makes me think of Wayne and what his family is going through. Last year my wife had just died in November. Kinda have an idea what they are feeling. This time of year seems to be when a lot of people pass away. The ying and the yang, also celebrating the birth of Christ. And hopefully at our age (well many of us....) also enjoying the grand children. There is just nothing like kids at Christmas to bring out the child in all of us.
So here's to all who didn't make it to Christmas, and may your heavenly presents get there on time.
