Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Excuse the dumb question (and I really don't feel like going thru 429 pages of posts to see if it's been asked/answered already), but are you allowed to use multiple coupons at HF? Never been there before, but was going to be in the general area of one tomorrow and wanted to check it out. Can I use a "free with purchase" coupon and a "20% off one item" at the same time, or do I have to go thru the register multiple times?
The fine print implies not, but just thought I'd ask...

You can't use two discount coupons, but the "free" item doesn't count as one. So, you can use your 20% off and free item together. But you can't use both a discount coupon for a half price hand cranked whole house generator and a 20% coupon off that price.

You can use a 20% coupon on non-coupon sale items.

You can only use one coupon per purchase. I don't think they would fuss if you took your first purchase to the car and returned with a second coupon.

Probably manager dependent. I'd just choose a different cashier and not raise the question.

I can buy 1 to 5 engines and 1 to 3 carts, and free items, using the coupons, at one purchase.

I can't buy 10 engines, using two coupons, at one purchase, or at two purchases on one day.

I can't use a 20% off coupon with these sale coupons.



I too, was told only one coupon per purchase, but this was years ago. They said the register software would only allow one. Later they would accept more than one per purchase.

This has been my experience with 5 stores in two states.

You can use 20% off for one item and choose a free item in the same transaction.

In the same transaction you can use several coupons discounting various items; for example a coupon for a lower price on five pairs of gloves, and another for up to six examples of the throwaway angle grinder @ $9.99, etc.

Aside from the free gift and 20% coupons, you can use their other coupons all day if you like. But the free gift and 20% coupons can be used only one time per day. Different cashiers vary in how this is enforced, recently a new cashier let me use multiple 20% coupons so long as they went on different receipts as separate transactions. Then a week later there was a sign posted at the register emphasizing the one per day rule and a different cashier refused to accept a 20% coupon on a second transaction, even though I offered to put it on a different credit card.

Finally, watch out for the limitations on the 20 and 25 % coupons. 'No Generators' etc.
