Nancy Pelozi... sorry I didn't spell it out, nor did I call any one person a name. I am truly sorry if I offended anyone.
No offense taken.

If it goes wrong they shouldn't blame anyone but themselves; the person who appointed them to that exacting position. ...........
My impression is that mandatory training for gun ownership and carry permits can trim the accidental death and injury category on a per capita gun owner basis.
First point - not necessarily. It is the initiator of the action that places another in the position of being forced to make a critical decision.
Second point - I would like to see firearms training back in the high schools.
Third point - Mandatory permits to exercise a natural right are clearly unconstitutional.
Exactly. And if the kid had of been shot in that state, the judge most likely would have ruled justifiable homicide.
No, the kid would not have been "murdered" as others think. Darwin's law applies

I'm at a loss as to how you get "justifiable homicide" from that scenario. No one was in danger and I can't understand how hearing someone yell "Freeze!" could possibly be taken as a threat, especially a life threatening one, without any accompanying action.

I seriously doubt it. His defense would say all he was asking for was a frozen popsicle. Or maybe an expression of going outside in the cold weather. No way saying "freeze", which is generally a police term, would be grounds for justifiable homicide.
Sounds like a dumb kid doing a dumb thing. If all dumb kids doing dumb things were shot, none of us would be around.
So well stated on your part...while making an inane remark such as "freeze" would seem stupid to us older farts, maybe the kid did it because he was drunk or stoned, or given a dare...BUT what I wonder most of all about is: DID ANYBODY WHO WITNESSED THE INCIDENT say something to him about it was a stupid thing to do?
A friend of my wife walked in a convenience store around 10:30 last night. Some kid walked in and yelled "FREEZE" as loud as he could. This is Kentucky, everybody is packing,
What an idiot.
WTH? You guys live in a place where it would be normal or expected to shoot a kid because he yells a word? He's lucky he doesn't get shot for yelling? Really?
Are you people really that scared? .
Did he present a mortal threat?
Crime is the lowest it's been in forty plus years. Get a grip.
