Adding to the excellent comments above:

The pronovost PXPL86 fits within you power range-price is another issue.

it has the rear scraper blade and you can use it like pull behind dragging snow forward as is shown in their videos.



The issue is your mule period, and whether you can afford to upgrade to the next power class SIMPLY because you are POWER SHORT.

The other issue is your pocket book as it will be hard to buy a snow blower now unless you have an Allied Farm King dealer nearby.

The other issue is liability and how many times you are going to deal with a snow event(you would be surpized how many times a road gets plowed to meet DOT standards.

A bigger mule with a

cab
high end seating
HID lighting
loaded tires
chains

they will get stuck so be aware of that and have a heavy 4WD wreckers phone number handy

You should plan on buyi9ng a least 2 million dollars in blanket liability coverage from somewhere as well.

One thing a pull behind cant do is blow banks back. That is what I use my blower for almost all the time. HP buys you time, how much time do you have to do a certain job? I am only at 40hp or so but it works way better that I had been led to believe. Sure 100hp would cut my time but the machine would be bigger than I want for other purposes. So it's all in what you need. As far as commercial plowing, after 20+ years never again. I make more money moving banks back in 2 days than I did in a month with a plow truck. I am in the same situation as the O/P. We have about 20" right now and the road has not been touched, my wife drives a car and we are almost to the point with this heavy wet snow that I am going to clear it. Liability? I don't even want to go there. CJ

You made a generous offer, but we need some worth trying to blow and it does't look like we're getting it this season.

I agree this winter has been crap for snow. Hopefully next winter is better. Feel free to hit me up anytime you're around though, plenty of cool toys here to look at.
