Anyone built a set of forks for the front of a SCUT?

I've been impressed with the strength of these vs weight. They have held up against everything I've thrown at it.
Easy to move around, probably around 60lbs and can disassemble for storage.
Plus I made a 3pt hitch to use them on the back too.
The only down fall is that they made it difficult to put on bucket hooks but I'm sure I'll find a spot that still works.

I made a very small set of clamp on forks.

When using the forks I needed to add weight to the 3 point hitch. Could you use forks on the 3 point hitch?

How does the 3 point hitch capacity compare with the capacity of the front bucket?

I'm talking about building an actual set of pin on forks. The tractor will pick up the bale at the pins just fine, but out front of the bucket on extenders its unsafe and too much weight.

I need a set of pin on forks to get the load as close to the pins as possible.

I'm sure you can cobble something up from the myriad of designs shown thus far.

Crap Zick, i spent a lot of times making my bar brackets for my forks. You mean all I had to do was use "hooks"? Only thing beneficial for the way i made mine is that there is a lot of lee way as to how close you have to align the bar to the hooks.

Very cool design!

Be sure you get the rollback angle right with the curl cylinders fully retracted.

This is a brush fork that I made for the TORO+Loader. The pin on brackets set the rollback angle and have chain slots in the top.

Full up curl.

Use the same pin hole spacing as the bucket. If the holes are further apart, the cylinder could contact the loader arm at max retract and bend the rod. If closer together, the cylinder could contact the loader arm at max dump and bend the rod.

"Anyone ever done this?"

My brother in law has a John Deere 2210 and needed a set of forks for moving small logs, pallets and round bales. I had some scrap square laying around and this is what I came up with. I found the spears on clearance at Agri Supply. I fabbed up brackets on it to fit the JD quick attach so it's easy on and off. Sorry about the bad pics. I've handled a 4x4 round bale with it and it did fine
