yanmar ybh 760 backhoe attachment

does anyone know where I can get replacement parts for it?

I need to put new seal in two of the cylinders.

I can't find any info on these on the web.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think you will find anyone selling seals just for the YBH 760, I think you will have to go to a hydraulic shop or a place such as this https://www.herculesus.com/ to get the seals. Most likely need to take the torn down cylinders with you.

cool thanks I might just go ahead and buy 2 new cylinders

from the prices I see for parts I can go to Dalton hydraulics and get replacement ones for 120 dollars I think.

Hydraulic seals are universal. Just tear the cylinders down and take the seals to your local hydraulic shop to match by eye.

You need a huge pipe wrench to unscrew the end caps. Everything else is much simpler than you might expect.

Tip: leave one end of the cylinder secured to the BH so you have something to resist the unscrewing force.

I paid my local shop about $165 to do my first loader cylinder, and about $10 in parts for the next two that I did myself.

If you were considering buying replacement cylinders, you have nothing to lose by attempting repair of your existing ones first.

The 760 was sold by Yanmar dealers a little before and after 1980. I think it was intended for the larger Yanmars. Here's a prior thread accumulating what is known about the backhoes sold by Yanmar-USA back in the day. And I have a 1976 brochure listing a 'Brantley' backhoe, an earlier style sold about 1976.

I've seen the manufacturer of backhoes for Yanmar named in an old thread, but my research then led to the conclusion that they went out of business 30 years ago. Regardless, the components are all generic and overhaul parts are available at any hydraulic shop.

In a weird searching method, I found the 760 model being sold today as new over at Everything Attachement. The name of the company is Bradco.
Everything Attachments model 760 Backhoe It's a pricey little thing. For a mere $800 more, you get the PTO pump kit too.

Dug and found that the Brantley company was sold to American Equipment around the time Mr. Brantley died in 1993. Production and Manufacturing for OEMs, and Custom Equipment, Tractor Attachments and Backhoes amerequip.com They still make the backhoes and have parts even! The equipment is resold via the Bradco name to other distributors too.

If it helps a YBH750 was built by Woods. I have one and have sourced parts for it from Woods. Not saying a YBH 760 is Woods but you might want to post a picture so people can look at it. I agree with the others, for seals go to a hydraulic shop.
