Looking at making an offer on a 6410 with 3k hours. Anything to really be careful of? For me this will be a big tractor and my first JD, we've owned Kubotas for 35 years.

These where pretty good tractors and a great leap ahead over the 6400 series units especially where the cab is concerned. They could have had a syncro or a powerquad tranny and a left hand reverser was an option for both. The left hand reverser will be the most desired option, for operation as well as resale. You will also want to make sure it already has what you want regarding hyd connections as a machine gets older it gets more difficult to get the oem kits. It could have had as many as 4 rear remotes not counting what would be used for a loader if operated off of mid mount valves.
Had 2 6400s and have drove plenty of 6410s and as far as the cab goes nothings changed, seat is different and trim work may be a bit lighter but other than that, no leap ahead as far as cabs concerned. transmissions are the same but 10 series can be ordered with left hand reverser - A must for loader work. 2 hyd scvs as standard - 3 optional.
Good basic tractors the 64 series, had 2 with one of them over 12500 hours and never had the engine touched - Had some rough staff in it over the years and still kept ticking. I think that the 00 and 10 series are better than the crap JD has now, the 6R series looks cheep to me. 6410s were much better quality and tough.
