I worked all my life. Paid taxes and ss. Got sick in '09. Bone cancer. Still kickin along. Ss disability. Im 60 years old now. Gonna ride it to the end. Make a few more gardens,a few more hunting seasons.play with the grandkids.got no money. No retirement. No regrets. Never killed anybody. Pretty good life,all things considered. Wish you all well. Our prayers are with you all the way man. Your story is a wake up call on how self centered we all tend to be. Here we are on this thread planning on how we wring the max out of our SS and harping about the problem cases. Then along comes a story like yours; we should all be ashamed and down on our knees begging the almighty's forgiveness for our callousness materialism. Hang in there, love those grandkids extra much, and instill in them the humility a lot of us are lacking. I will add the Cancer Society to my charity list this year, in your memory.
