MF 150 Thermostat Location

I'm guessing the thermostat for a 1964 MF 150 diesel is located under the front of the fuel tank?

You are correct. Mine is 1970, I think, but should be the same. Not sure if you can get to it without removing the tank, can't remember. I already had my tank off to replace the water pump.

Working on getting the tank off now. Would have been nice not to have to do that.

Getting the tank off isn't too bad. I've been lucky and not had to bleed the fuel system when only removing the tank, but when I split the tractor and unhooked the fuel lines, it was a bit of a pain to bleed. Good Luck!

All went well. Thermostat and hoses are changed. Flushed the tank while I had it off. I didn't have to bleed the fuel system. I put it all back together, hit the key and it fired right up. Now on to flushing the hydraulic system and changing the filter screen.
