the plug protector is 360-0012 ; it was just over two dollars, I know it was not necessary, but again it was only two dollars.

Just to confirm these are for a JD110 TLB? I cant find either part number on ZeroStart's webpage under "John Deere".

Here is what I did. I googled the normal/plain deere drain plug until I found an application that actually listed the size of the plug (1/2 npt if I recall) then I ordered the shortest& lowest wattage heater in that size. I have less than an hour on since the install, but as far as I know, no issues....

the one I ordered was 860-9624, it is 150w, there are higher wattage ones available, but without knowing exactly what deere uses, I felt better to be safe and use the lowest wattage unit.

ar87167; 120 vac, 400 watt, 36 ohm's resistance, 3.33 amps.

I'm not always certain that the time you waste "chasing a few dollars" is really saving much... Time or money.

I put the OEM heaters in both tranny and block. Easy peazy. And no leaks, etc.

Well the ZeroStart block and tranny heater came out to $130 shipped. The Deere heaters come out to $240 (canadian). I'll take the $110 and thank all of you guys for the part numbers.

Did you install the zero start block heater? I am looking to put one in my own 110tlb.

Not yet. Because you probably have to drain the coolant, we've been putting it off. The engine air heater seems to be doing a fairly good job.

We may do the transmission heater at the same time, but have some questions: where does it go? Do you have to drain the hydraulic fluid?

You don't have to drain the coolant out of the 4tnv88 engine, you might lose 8-12 ounces if you're quick about it. I'm talking about the 1-inch NPT thread screw-in-heater. Just top off the radiator when you're done.
