I am looking to purchase a 2400H with FEL and a front mount snowblower. Unfortunately the company selling the adapter is no longer making it. I was wondering if anyone knew if their dealer might have one sitting around that wasn't sold last winter or knew of another way to get a front mount snowblower on the 2400H?

Thanks,

Eric

UPDATE:

Thought I would give you an update on my search for a front mount snow blower for my 2400H. My dealer decided to build one to fit it. He then presented it to Branson and they found a company in Canada to mass produce it. Mine is scheduled to ship from the manufacturer on Monday December 22. When I get in installed I will give you a report.

Ok, sorry for taking so long to post back.

The dealer called me on Dec 31st to tell me the blower was in and they would pick up the tractor on Jan 2 (sometimes I hate new years day)

They picked it up about 0830 and had it back by 1630. In this time frame they did the following"
1) installed the blower
2) loaded the front tires, rears were done when the tractor was purchased in October. I had them load the front tires since I have to remove the FEL when mowing between the blueberry bushes. I am using a 6ft brush hog (rotary mower) and the front end would get a little light.
3) 50 hour service had 42.3 hours on the tractor. Dealer provided free labor for this, only had to pay for fluids and filters.
4) Weld wider skid shoes to the front of the brush hog.

I was impressed.

Now for the snowblower. It is only a 56" blower not a 60". Dealer was surprised when I told him that. I am a little disappointed as i lost 4 inches but it works great.

It came with 2 different sizes of shear pins, 1 bag of 10 for the augers and 1 bag of 10 for the fan. I have not had to use any for the fan but have used 7 fore the augers. I thought I had graded the drive (1/2 mile) fairly lever prior to the snow fall but apparently not. Even after using a back blade to plow it while waiting on the blower did not level it like I would have liked. I was when I was picking up some stones that the shear pins went, again I thought the drive was level.

I have the skids raised to the max but might try to added some extra thickness to them. I can control the height with the hydraulics so that is a help. I did try cutting a slit in a 2" pvc pipe and putting that on the cutting edge and it helped a little, until it broke. I am thinking of seeing if I can mount a 2" piece of steel pipe below the cutting edge to see if that will make a difference.

It handles the snow well. Throws it a good 25=30ft. It has a hydraulic chute rotation, which is really quick. Deflector requires you to get off and turn two large knobs. Fortunately I have plenty of room to throw the snow so don't need to adjust it that often. (NOTE: I have been reading the electrical modification to the deflector on the forum).

Attached are some pics of the blower/tractor and back blade. IMG_1767.jpgIMG_1768.jpgIMG_1769.jpgIMG_1770.jpgIMG_1771.jpgIMG_1772.jpgIMG_1773.jpg

WOW, that looks awesome. Quick question, is there a gear reducer from your pto shaft to the snow blower? The mid pto spins faster than 540 I know. You have an awesome set up there.. Does that tractor have enough power to run that blower pretty loaded up? Thanks for the pics..

Looking at the drawings there is a belt/pulley arrangement that would give the proper speed for the fan and augers.

I blew some pack snow(piled up by the road commission plowing the road) about 12 inches deep and had no problem with it. Of course it is a HST so it if bogs I just slow down.

What brand snow blower is that?

These Blowers are for sale through Any Branson Dealer now.. This company makes a lot of products and seems to be of decent quality.
