4' LED "shop" lights for ~ $32 at Costco

I have 6 of the LED shoplights from Costco. Overall they are brighter than the lights they replaced. However, in the garage, I have noticed them making a popping sound sometimes. Not sure what is causing it, but both I put out there have done it. They do come on with a slight delay, but are full bright in cold weather, unlike the fluorescent.

Forget all those lights. After reading on TBN the term high bay lights, I ask an electrician about it. He said sure how many you want. I brought home some 400 watt metal halide fixtures and bulbs. They were old temporary lights off of a job. I got 3 up so far in place of the 8' fluorescent lights.

High bay lights are really meant for higher than 12'. You can get nearly the same fixture in a "low bay" configuration....same bulb, (I use 175 metal halide) but the reflector is about twice the diameter, and throws more light in a ceiling under 15' or so. But other than that, I agree...I love mine. Got 4 in my shop area of about 35x60. Also have a row of regular can lights down the center of the shop I can turn on for enough light to walk thru the shop without turning on the BIG lights.

Also, it helps to paint the ceilings a bright white.

I changed everything around teh property to 60 watt LED area lights. They put out the same light as the 500W halogen, but are at only 60 watts. I love them

anybody got a part number for an LED exterior wall light to replace halogen wallpacks?

I recently installed 5 of the 4' Costco LED fixtures in my garage. They look just like 4' fluorescents, but they are brighter, instant on in cold weather, make no noise and have a nice natural color light. They should last a lot longer too. I really like them!

Mine are set at about 15 feet off the floor in a 26 X 30 garage.

I think if they drop the price within one month of your purchase, you can take the receipt in and they will give you the difference.

858582 LED Shoplight.

In my store they always make you do a return and you have to rebuy. They are good with returns, but I haven't returned anything in ages to know if they changed the policy. I want to buy enought to do my whole barn.
